The Truth About It All: Manbun Mondays

Hello there my lovely guys and gals! It is once again Monday morning, well at least here it is. This past weekend was a calm one, but on that same token an interesting one. On Saturday night... How do I even begin to explain, I feel like there is no way to explain it as of this very moment so I might need an hour or so to work up all the right words to explain just what happened..

The Truth About It All: Kicked Up; Simply Thursday

A few days ago I had some free time to go shopping but I didn't really go shopping like on a shopping spree. I needed an everyday small purse where I could throw my phone, work badge, some perfume, and my card holder for the week with some cash.

Sitting in a loud room that is filled with people, so filled that the line is out the door, and well it smells like one of my favorite things in the world.. Coffee, I am inside of Starbucks as I sit here I wish they had a refill option/price for iced drinks because I finished my grande light on ice chai about 5 minutes ago and I am debating if I should go get more, why am I in this predicament?

The Truth About It All: Cucumber Face Peel

It has been two plus months since we last said goodbye to summer, so you would expect that me being the way I am would be back to my daily facial routine of cleanse, tone , moisturize and occasionally scrub. But nope I have been doing the complete opposite between work , signing up for classes, family time, wrapping presents and the holidays in general. I had not gone back to taking thorough care of my face.

The Truth About It All: Heart Of Hearts

                     Hello there lovely readers,

For quite some time I have been wanting to start a personal blog, aside from this one , so that my personal things are not mixed within this blog..

I started the blog because sometimes people need somewhere to vent, let things go, or just express feelings that they would otherwise keep to themselves. I named it heart of hearts and will be posting often but not everyday. So if you guys want to check it out here is the link.

The Truth About It All: Black and White

Black, white, and red are just three of the top colors to wear. In this post i combined all three of them together.
As you can see I am not shooting outside like I usually do and it was an interesting way to shoot for the blog, I got to put together outfits that Id usually go for but they were more studio outfits than street style outfits. It was a different take of what I usually go for. I loved this outfit because it consisted of two of my favorite trends from last season that transcended onto this one and one that came back for fall 2014. The white crop top with a collar gave it a bit more of a polished look, that combined very well with my highwaisted mid-calf skirt. And last but not least I added to the outfit maroon pointed toe pumps which I love. It was a simple chic outfit. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? Let me know in the comments below. xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: Ciao Fall

(Forever21 Dress)

Hello loves Steph here, Its been about a month almost since my last outfit post I got soo caught up blogging about all my favorite new collections from fashion week but in between all the writing I took time do a few outfit posts. These outfits where shot in a white background which was unexpected but I liked going a different way about it instead of running around I just kinda stood in one place and changed poses (no worries i'll always love to shoot outside with scenery around me). It was a rainy and humid day outside either way so I guess it worked out for the best. This outfit was inspired by the comfort I believe comes with the arrival of fall and soon enough winter too. One of my favorite outfits. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: David Koma Spring 2015

I think I just added a new designer to my list of favorites. The David Koma Spring 2015 collection was everything I never knew could be (if that makes sense). I've always been obsessed with geometric cutouts and body-con pieces and this show did not disappoint me at all. Although Koma is also living his lifelong dream of being the artistic director of Mugler it did not take away from his very own collection. The very architectural designer who usually defaults for using black and white on all of his designs, decided to this time around incorporate some colors that represent spring. The designs featured cutout waists, sheer panel details, and the always lovely and flattering asymmetrical hem. The collection over all was fantastic. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: Marchesa Spring 2015

Wow people just,WOW ! I cannot help but be overly obsessed with the new Marchesa Spring 2015 collection. Everything is soo fabulous , i was in awe when i watched the show  every design is soo breathtaking from head to toe. Every piece that strutted down the runway made you feel like you were in a magical bohemian garden or something of the sorts. I loved how most of the pieces had some sort of floral patterns or pastel colors. A lot of sheer and lightweight fabrics were used for the collection, every style had something that made it a little sexy whether it showed cleavage in the front, showed off the shoulders, had a slit on the skirts, or had sheer fabric which was provocative. All of the designs represented spring, some of the models wore flower crowns which added to the boho style of the collection. Some of the first pieces in the collection had a very 70s vibe to them which is sometimes hard to pull off without going over the top. The entire collection as a whole was magnificent, which I could wear certain pieces I fell in love with. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: Comfy Day

Hello Loves, your dearest fashion blogger here. :) How have you guys been ?  I've been looking for some inspiration for something new I'm working on for the blog and in these past days have been clinging to comfortable outfits, I always say that sometimes comfort comes first so when I finally decided to work on a new outfit post I continued to cling to that comfort and along came this post. I was supposed to do a different outfit but got lazy last minute and ended up not changing , so my photographer Janice said sure why not lets do a laid back outfit. And so we did, when we arrived where we were going to shoot it just so happened to be perfect for such a comfortable outfit like this. It was sundown which made for good but complicated lighting. We shot at this old warehouse she had seen just fifteen minutes from where we both live. Across the street you could see this really small little restaurant and in the air you smelled barbecue. We explored the whole perimeter which led to really good pictures with a kind of dark/creepy and adventurous feel. There are more outfit posts to come within the next week that arent laid back. :) What do you guys think for this very comfy outfit day? Yay or Nay? xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: For The Bride

Being a bride can get difficult I assume with all the planning , the guest list, seating arrangements, the theme color, the flowers, the vow writing, etc. The list could go on for ages, but when I saw these gorgeous Chanel sandals on Pinterest, I could not help but want to share a little bridal inspiration and style with any future brides out there. Everyone is obsessed with bridal couture, but lets be honest here its oh so complicated to chose wedding gowns with all the styles, textures, fabric, and now colors YES COLORS. Brides are not only wearing white now. Now they wear pink, mint green, a very light sky blue, red, and if you are on of those brides who wants to stand out forevermore from the traditional white there are also black wedding gowns. Vera Wang being one of the first designers I saw making black wedding gowns, I personally would not opt for that color considering the fact that i think it takes away from such as special occasion. The color makes it look like you are going to a black tie event instead of a wedding it makes the gown look like just any regular evening gown. I love them but would not wear them. I love Vera and the way she always perfectly captures the style of almost if not every bride out there. Her spring 2015 collection is breathtaking, it captivated me from the moment I saw it, as did the Oscar De La Renta 2015 collection. Both designers manage to keep a vintage look to all of the pieces in their collections, but still giving it a modern look which is exactly my style. Now lets talk about the shoes. The Shoes I believe are the most important thing Riiight after the dress. I am personally obsessed with the Chanel shoes at the very top. These classic Coco Chanel strappy sandals are truly breathtaking , I love the simplicity they have it makes them easy to wear for any special occasion. Of course I had to include the famous Manolos Carrie wore in Sex in the City to marry 'Mr.Big', as soon as the shoes were seen in the movie everyone fell in love with the gorgeous pumps. So much in fact that brides everywhere were wanting to buy them so Blahnik  raised the prices from a good $525 to a hefty $965 making an iconic shoe and almost unreachable. And of course I could not forget to put the very beautiful swan shoes that were made just for Bella in Twilights Breaking Dawn movie. What do you lovely ladies and future brides think? xx -Steph

The Truth About It All: Mara Hoffman Resort 2015

Mara Hoffman recently revealed her swim 2015 collection at Miami Fashion Week. And it is needless to say that as always she wooed each and everyone of us. The designer stuck to her loyal kaleidoscope print that makes you dizzy if you stare too long. The lovely collection which features the loyal kaleidoscope print, tribal prints, parrots, sheer tops, and fringe is truly eye catching. Each piece has would have its own voice if fabric were to speak, my favorites would have to be the first three. In the first three pieces the trends are represented in more than one way. Starting with the always appealing two piece swim suit, which this time around features kaleidoscope patterns along with tribal. The very next one features the classic high waist swim suit with sheer attributes that compliment the swimsuit as a whole. I love how on my third favorite she mixes a tie dye feel, with tribal colors, giving the vintage one piece a different and more colorful approach.
The way she mixed rain forest colors with trending pieces and even pieces that have already been around makes the collection irresistible. What do you guys think of the collection? Will you be seen wearing any of these gorgeous pieces next summer ? YAY or NAY? xx -Steph
